Move. Connect. Grow.

Helping families find their rhythm

Hola, bonjour, bem vindo, kumusta ka! I’m Nadia and I’m a licensed mental health counselor in Washington, a registered-dance/movement therapist, and child mental health specialist. I’ve been helping parents and families since 2012. Using play, humor, expressive arts (dance/movement, art, drama), CBT, Circle of Security, and positive parenting strategies, I help parents build deeper, more connected relationships with their children.

I grew up across the world, in a mixed cultural and intergenerational home. I studied architecture and psychology, then traveled the world again. I received my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lesley University, then interned at the Boston Children’s Foundation, the Cambridge Community Center, and the Perkins School for the Blind.

I received my Master’s in Design for Human Health from the Boston Architectural College, where I learned to develop evidence-based design skills that I use to improve mental health. I help parents create spaces that support their children’s regulation, family connection, and the everyday rhythms of life.

I lived in Dublin, Ireland and ran my private practice while serving on the executive board of the Irish Association of Creative Arts Therapists. Later, I returned to the PNW and had a family of my own. I have two kids and Seattle is our home.

All of my experiences gave me core insights into how to help families of diverse backgrounds and in various ways. Therapy is a learning process and I’m honored to witness how everyone has a different learning style.

There is a saying in the Philippines. It is - “know your history, know yourself; no history, no self.” So, in sessions with me, I invite you to get to know your history, to discover and know yourself, as you were, as you are, and as you’d like to be.
